Sun, Fun and Savannah

Spring Break was a much needed rest from school and work...enjoyed on Tybee Island and Savannah. I woke up the first morning there thinking I needed to be doing something. When Bryan volunteered to make breakfast, I kept pacing around for a bit until he finally told me I had nothing to do and that I should sit down and enjoy it...it being doing nothing and relaxing my mind.

Tuesday through Thursday we played in a Frisbee tournament in Savannah, so that provided a good balance and incorporated some activity into the week. I picked up with a women's team from Milwaukee and three days and nine games later, we won our bracket!
Decked out in green for St. Patty's day.
A new game called Dueling Discs another team taught us on the beach (yes, when we weren't playing in the tournament, you could find tons of frisbees and players on the beach). The goal of the game was to be the first person to hit your opponent below the waist inside a big circle--note Bryan's fancy footwork there on the right in order to dodge a disc thrown at him and go in for the win at the same time!

your writing usually does the trick even for us visual people, but the photos take it to a different level. Looks like the house was a neat place. Glad there were other obsessed disc dudes down there for you to share your 'free' time with. I mean why go toward the ocean when there were frisbees to throw?
love you and thanks for keeping us updated - from the cold north (kyle can have this :) daddy

believe me, i went toward the ocean a time or two and it was ice cold! if you weren't actually playing on the beach, it was too cold to just sit there without a jacket on:) even the locals i talked to said it was still a bit too nippy for the beach, but they were out walking in their clothes just to be out there.

mommie, just be glad i didn't carry my camera on one of the morning walks i took--sintos and i got stuck watching birds dig their beaks into wet sand for food and cheered on the fortunate few who found some. there probably would have been a long sequence of photos!
