Continuing visits of places near Jacksonville I've yet to venture to, I accompanied Bryan on his hunt of BMW parts at Merrill's Cars and Parts. I pass this place on 278 around Piedmont on the way to and from school and have always thought it looked fun. Since Bryan's wheel recently fell off his car (that's about as technical as I can get), we had a good excuse to check it out.
It was a treasure find for both of us--just in different ways. They have only foreign cars, and he found a whole line of his type of car, whereas I found tons of things to photograph. I'm hoping to convince a future engagement couple to take pics here!
Bryan got a great deal on some parts and the endearing 90-year-old man who owns the junkyard (and will tell you as many stories as you have minutes to spare) said he wanted to brag on me for tromping through the yard instead of sitting in my car and honking the horn:)
