symbol of love

As we work to make and create last minute details for Kyle and Vanessa's wedding, I took a little time to photograph the ring that is queen of all these DIY projects we've undertaken.

This particular engagement ring is made with tremendous amounts of love as Kyle fashioned it from a Canadian quarter! When we visited his flight school in Canada last week, Carly and I heard stories of people who saw him hammering away hours with the back of a spoon in the hanger.

He really did an amzing job, and this ring was only the beginning of handmade projects to surround these two. Can't wait to blog about all the neat aspects of their wedding!

A big theme color for the wedding (and for Vanessa) is yellow, so I thought the ring looked fun here. Although, if you're a farm guy or gal, you'll perhaps notice that these are actually blooms on a tomato plant! (shhhh...)
