Happy Sunday

Hey guys and gals-
I hope to get to a cafe soon so I can type faster and throw on some photos. This Sundays's post is a little different than last weeks-The "head maid" here got sick and so they informed me last night that Darina and I would be working today. They needed two of us because many people had checked out and next week the hotel will be 'complet'-I'll let you figure that translation out:) With so many rooms to do, we had to start at 9 this morning, and it's now 5, as I take a break to wait for my last load of towels to dry. So I had to phone Jaqueline and let her know not to pick me up, but she was very nice and said she would phone me later this week. I still get a little nervous when we talk on the phone because she doesn't know English-but it seems to be working so far.
So hopefully I can hit a cafe tonight and download a good sermon.

In other news...
Since I worked last Saturday, I asked for Friday off (maybe that will work again this weekend). I decided to make the most of time off and planned a day trip for myself. It's a little weird traveling alone, but it's not like I get bored-I just wish I had people to enjoy my experiences with. You start to feel selfish enjoying so many wonderful sites and sounds without friends and family. I'm also glad to report that I made it to Carcassonne and back in one piece and I had a great time! (See how I waited to tell you after I went so some of you, ahem-mommie and memaw, wouldn't worry)
And since I was alone, I could take as many pictures as I wanted-I wasn't holding anyone up:) So let's just say I may have over 100 photos of a castle, but it's not sea gulls! The other great part was that I arrived by train around 10:30 on a weekday, so I had the entire place to myself. It felt so cool-every once in a while I just pretended it was my castle. And thanks to my mom and her Valentine's gift of peanut butter (yay!), I packed a lunch including a PB & J sandwhich. I climbed up the outside wall of the fort and had a little picnic as I looked over the city:)
Alright-gotta check the wash-I shall return, hopefully with photos.
And just to leave you in suspense...I got my hair cut yesterday!
