instead of tons of people living in the fort, now tons of pigeons do. they are all in and around the castle; nestled on the rooftops, in all the little cracks and crevices. it was nice to sit and each lunch and hear random cooing and flapping of wings throughout the castle. i wonder if these were the same sounds people heard when this place was in full swing?
