It was really wonderful to be home for Easter. As you can see, Carly and I are back to sillyness as usual, trying to eat the jumbo peeps Kelly gave us for Easter.
Trying to hold on to my new French culture has been interesting. I mentioned earlier about the baguette I tried to buy from Panera. So that didn't work out too well, but within the first week, I did have a glass of wine three different days with lunch. You know, servers here look at you pretty fun when you just want to order a glass of merlot with an order of pita triangles and hummus at two in the afternoon. (Like they are wondering how such a together looking, young girl is an alcoholic.) Two nights ago I made my mom and Kyle 'confit de canard' (duck), salad (with Jaqueline's salad dressing) and some potatoes. I did actually buy the duck before I left and packed it in my suitcase (only one of the things probably unnecessarily making my suitcase heavy). Then tonight at Atlanta Bread Company I ordered the Mediterranean Salad with artichokes and red peppers. From working in a restaurant while I was there, I was always given that food-Mediterranean food. It's like my stomach searches for those flavors-I had started to train it a little. This afternoon, out of nowhere, I wanted a snack of cheese. Call me crazy, I probably am. But at least I'm waking up in the right time zone now! I will say I had a fabulous French meal with my longest, bestest friend Lauren at Le Madeleine in Vinings--I even got to chat and order for us in French because the guys who work there are from Cameroon! I would have never tried that before I left for my trip overseas
Wow, as I sit and drink a cup of green tea out of my 'Congrats Grad' mug right now I'm remembering it was exactly this time last year I was in Jacksonville, Alabama graduating from school. What a year it has been; quite unplanned and unexpected, yet now 'my cup overfloweth.'

Salut Erin -
I've never been there, but heard good things about Le Peep on the Marietta Square. Also, Harry's might have some of your cheeses and such.
Bisous,
K
