Cold treat for hot feet

So Carly and I definitely gave in to our childhood pleasures the other day. My dad was working in the yard, poked his head in and said, "The ice cream truck just rounded the corner in the neighborhood; so if you guys are still up for catching it, you probably could." It took one quick glance of shared enthusiasm and a back pocket check for cash before Carly and I raced out the back door. No, my confession is not that I ran for two blocks after the ice cream man--I wasn't even embarassed when we waved at some men working in a yard as we passed by. However, I'm not sure if it's because I'm a weakling or because it's so dang hot here, but...the price of a King Kong ice cream (with gum ball eyes, of course) was $2.50 and blisters on the bottom of my feet. So the next day while I walked around I had to explain why my feet hurt-that was interesting:) Love my sister--she finished summer school today! One more Georgia Tech class down-many more linear equations to go (if that's not a real thing, sorry-it's just one of the math words I remember...)

I chase down the ice cream cart all the time here in Honduras, I call it "cultural integration." So take heart and go and get your King Kong creation! BUT, the plus of Honduras is two scoops is 10 lempiras, which is the equivalent of 50 cents!

It´s cool keeping up with you, even down here in Central America. Tell Carly, Kyle, and your folks I said "hola!"
