In my office--yes, that is a leather couch behind me. I'm not sure why it's in there because I don't think it is suggested that I nap or lounge on it, but when an interviewee comes in I get to say something fun like, "Please do have a seat on the couch and make yourself comfortable."




















I heard a rustling of leaves the other day, and I turned around to see someone special waving at me. Bryan rode by between classes to wave a hello while I was at work:) We are currently in one of my favorite weeks in Alabama--t-shirt and jeans weather during the day and the leaves are at peak colors of yellow, red and orange.





















This photo is mostly for Kari--I'm sorry if it's a let-down, but in confirmation to many of your comments, the new maple drink at Starbucks is not all I hoped it would be. In fact, I do think you could come up with a better recipe. And this is coming from someone who really loves all desserts and eats just about everything (like the strange peanut brittle on rice cake things you gave me!)---but, it is too sweet. Even the sample size cup I had was too much. But it's ok, I held in my other hand a big bag of fresh kettle corn-YUM!
