Happy Earth Day

I LOVE...

This is one amazing set of DVDs--11 episodes covering more than 200 places on our planet with never-before-seen footage. If you have yet to watch in awe and intrigue on a Sunday night, the series is available on Amazon and other places.
Go HERE to look at two clips and read a short article to wet your appetite (or revive it). These are two of my favorite clips, but how to choose when I enjoyed every part of the series I watched on the Discovery Channel.
And now that BBC has shown us our planet in such a vivid way--revealing wondrous aspects of the Earth and funny little creatures God created--they are going to show us how to help save it. A March 9 press release from BBC tells us to anticipate a follow-up series called Saving Planet Earth, "a wide-reaching series supporting animal conservation on BBC One this summer." It will be hosted by Sir David Attenborough and Alan Titchmarsh, along with other celebrities such as Nick Knowles, Graham Norton and Jack Osbourne. "Using previously unseen footage from BBC One's award-winning series Planet Earth, Sir David explains how destruction of crucial habitat is affecting the future of many of the planet's animals."
