A small view of a big city

Chicago, chicago that toddling town
Chicago, chicago Ill show you around - I love it
Bet your bottom dollar youll lose the blues in chicago
The town that billys sunday could not shut down

On state street that great street I just want to say

They do things that they dont do on broadway - say
They have the time the time of their life

I say a man and he danced with his wife

In chicago, my home town

A few shots from my first trip to Sinatra's city:

First of all, oh my goodness the foodness!

Sears Tower through the train window
Sintos and his mom
Fun architecture all over the city-this is an apartment building by Navy Pier
And can you believe this gothic building houses the Chicago Tribune?
View from the tip top of Sears Tower (which didn't house the Sears company for very long)
Line of great trumpet players
What a quality shot...where should I sign?
No need to go into a museum, there's free art all over the streets

Really experiencing the Windy City atop a red double-decker tour bus flying through the city--our guide was really great. Sintos said it was like watching the History channel in 3-D!
more art on the sidewalk-a personal favorite-a moose made out of bumpers-you have to admit...it does make you happy when you look at it:)
Tulips were everywhere! What makes a big city like Chicago even better? Large sidewalks and medians covered in flowers, trees and art. I'll call this one Reflection: City on a sidewalk.

A thousand locals were photographed for this digital fountain in Millennium Park...
watch out-she spits!
more relfections....oohhh....
In the bean! It's technical sculptural name is Cloud Gate-on one side you get a reflection of the water front and on the other, the full city skyline. It's quite marvelous.
Navy Pier ferris wheel-designed after the very first one which appeared here at the World's Fair

What a great trip! We really ran around to make the most of our time. There are obviously a few more hundred photos. We also managed to see some of their old friends or relatives every night. I really enjoyed the sights, tastes and company and definitely put Chicago on the list of cities I hope to return to.
