Packed, Planed and on to Prairie

I've eaten so much great food since Kyle has been getting special meals all week before he leaves. Here's my mom holding up links of another last. If you haven't tasted our treasure store, Patak Meats, you haven't raised your cholesterol for a good enough reason:) A helpful tip: As far as weekends go, they're only open the first Saturday of every month, but I wouldn't dare go on a Saturday or you'll spend the whole day in line.
Kyle trying on all of his layers...what a time to have to try on clothes that are labeled -20; when it's over 100 every day.
Laying out all of the possibilities. Carly's room was used for assembling and packing of clothes; the ones with tape made the cut.
Using the formula of (Kyle+bag weight)-Kyle weight, this bag equals exactly 50 lbs. And thanks to vacuum sealing, we fit a lot of stuff in this one bag: winter coats, sweaters, pants, long sleeve shirts, t-shirts, shorts...pretty much everything except underwear...which we remembered to pack in another bag later on last night...or was it already early this morning?
A few people stopped by to say 'see ya later' to Kyle, but Mario wins for being the most spirited, I think, trying on the clothes Kyle opted to leave here and question his judgment.
5:30 a.m.: Sending him off at the airport with hugs, and prayers to last him every day until we see him again.

UPDATE: Their luggage just arrived-hooray! I'm so glad they won't have the delay I had, especially since he's got pretty much everything in these four suitcases. Here's to hoping for a good nights sleep at a hotel and then on to Three Hills right on time in the morning.

Kyle is settling in at Three Hills with his roommate from Calgary, Brad. He looks excited. He and the rest of us are so thankful you're taking the time to chronicle these things on your blog AND for being there for he, Carly, and Mommie when they particularly needed you. You're such a blessing. Daddy
