Birthday Bashes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've now seen a quarter of a century go by. This, my mom and everyone else kindly reminded me of on Sunday while I was doing English homework. Before you feel too bad for me, my friends gave me a party Friday night and my parents came over for the game and dinner Saturday, so Sunday was the only day left to do homework. And this was after a group of 12-14 people from church decided we needed to go to Casa Fiesta so they could amuse themselves by watching the wait staff place a giant sombraro on my head. (I now know what Larry from Veggie Tales was talking about--"It's so hard to run with this sombraro on my head.." da da da--that thing was heavy!

The only thing you won't find a picture of (sorry) is the sombraro moment. The servers all came out and after they put the thing on my head, therefore blocking my view, they sung and blew up plastic to-go bags and popped them. Also during the singing was some ritual I'm not sure happens in normal Hispanic culture, so it must be one of those Alabama things. They put a yummy sopapia in front of me, and then took turns dotting the whip cream all over my face (still singing). The entire table was in hysterics and I'll definitely never forgot about this experience. I really couldn't forget about it yesterday because some of it got up in my nose and I smelled whip cream and cinnamon all day.My friend Andi (a Ballerina) and I at birthday extravaganza fun
Kassi and Ty--the coolest looking kids at the party:)
Saturday after the game-unwrapping presents from my parents--Sintos trying to convince me that packing peanuts are, in fact, edible.
Ok-I really wasn't too bummed about turning 25. Most people I told had know idea I was "that old" and didn't believe me. Then my mom showed me how she had to buy three packs of candles to put on my cake:(
