Most of the frisbee team came over and other people stopped by all throughout the day. Uncle Tony just kept throwing things on the grill and Caron spent a while in the kitchen.
We brought out a cushioned table and chairs; the weather was absolutely beautiful. People were eating, talking and throwing frisbees in the yard--an overall excellent day.
We had chicken and pork with a special Filipino sauce (that Tony only taught Bryan the recipe to), Spanish rice, pancit, shredded beef tacos with homemade guacamole and more. We brought my ipod speaker outside and just hung out all day--literally. The grill rested for a little while, but slow-cooked some sort of ginger chicken when another installation of people came through for dinner.
The 12-hour barbecue--a success.
And Monday morning before his mom and uncle left, they made us another huge pot of pancit (because everyone had eaten it all from the day before). So, other than some fruit and yogurt, I didn't even go grocery shopping this past week because they left us so much food!
