Since my last post...I passed orals and Bryan gave a great recital! Whew!
A bit of an update through pictures:

I thought this book expressed my sentiment one evening while studying for orals--I don't believe I've studied for this many days/hours before-but it was with due cause and worth the effort.

Where it all happened.

Bear found me in the same spot every time he came home--he would just laugh and shake his head.

A certain someone got me out of the house one day in order to get some sun and fresh air-I suppose I am looking kinda pale :)

A little bike ride was in order. We decided it was ok to eat at the Rocket (good ol' fashioned bbq) if we rode there.
The delicious pizza Bryan made me for passing orals-this is a repeater!
After walking out of orals, I felt so much lighter-the sun was out and a nice breeze was in the air-quite lovely! I have papers and finals to do, but I felt done...and most importantly, relieved:) Bryan, however, was in his last week of practice for his recital. With a little extra time on my hands, I decided to do some PR for him and made a couple posters to put up.
We went out one day for about 30 minutes a block from my house after rainy tornado weather-I just love a reflection shot!
His recital was last night at the First Baptist church--he sounded really wonderful! I think I even saw him smile a couple times while on stage as well. I've been hearing bits and pieces of all this music for a while now, so it was awesome to finally hear the finished product with piano accompaniment.
We held the reception in my backyard afterwards and had a great time getting to eat and hang out with a lot of our friends. I was really excited to find what I call "carnival lights"--the big bulb lights--because they remind me of the great atmosphere I enjoyed during a couple carnivals in Europe. (Plus they provided a lot of light for my pitch black yard.)
Caron (Bryan's mom) and my mom look cute here:) I'm glad they got to eat and relax after helping with food and decorating-a big help!
Speaking of good Samaritans, thanks to everyone in Georgia and Alabama who made pies for the reception. This dessert was Sintos' only request and he was ecstatic--there was even some fighting going on over the last piece of Memaw's chocolate pie! Thanks so much!

A big thanks especially to my parents and Mr. Mario for bringing some delicious food, serving platters, decorations (thanks, Cindy!) and their wonderful giving spirits--love these people and they were such a huge help (and fun to see for the evening)!
Great to have conquered more steps toward graduating--done and done!

Yea!!! for both you and Bryan!!
I was so pleased to see the pictures. I knew you had been very busy and understood but I sure was happy to see them.
You are more than welcome for the pie. I was glad to do it. The reception looked great. You do a fantastic job on anything that you do.
Love MeMaw
ERIN! Thanks so much for the beautiful update thru pics and words. I REALLY REALLY wish I could have come to Brian's recital...is there a youtube or fb or something kind of site I could sample a bit of it from? I know you are so very relieved. Loved all the pics, but faves were (1) pizza, (2) reflection w/feet and trumpet...so cool (3) reception which looked so fun! Miss you dearest cousin. Congrats on your orals, I know you worked SO HARD!
Thanks, Memaw:)
Sarah, You're SO sweet! Feeling the love all the way over here:) Bryan and his friend actually have a recording business on the side, so we'll have a CD of the full concert...when it gets edited, I'll make sure a copy finds its way to you!
