Fact #1: Saturday was Carly's last Homecoming game as an undergrad at Georgia Tech. My dad got to play in the stands with her since it was alumni band day as well!
Figure #1: Five of us were in attendance to watch the game; six, including Carly.

Fact #2: Before the game, the band entertains fans. The tubas are known to perform from atop this building. Since Carly's a senior, she's in the front and sometimes she gets to start the band off playing "Bud."

Figure #2: Carly spent four months last semester living 9,959 miles away in a much warmer climate. She was happy they were winning, but oh-so-cold!

Fact #3: Tech won their Homecoming game and we all had a wonderfully bundled up time! It was a great game to watch--with thousands of our closet friends.
Figure #3: With a final score of 28-23, this is the first time Tech has defeated a top five team since Bobby Dodd's team beat Bear Bryant's number one Alabama boys in 1962!
Fact #4: The north end goal post was torn down and all the students cheered and sang along as the band played after the game. A portion of the bright yellow post was sawed off and delivered to the president of the institution.
Figure #4: A gazillion students rushed the field and climbed the goal post when the clock ran out, but no one was reported injured or arrested.
