Hello pals!
I stopped writing for a little while for a couple of reasons, from not having pictures to put up (I know that's what really draws the crowd) to over exposure to the Florida sun. (I'm sorry, Sarah, I'm still alive.) However, I have updates-I'll try to keep them brief to catch everyone up, and then I'll keep up with writing again, deal?
*This just in-Memaw doesn't have cancer! I called to say hello today and she had gotten her results back early-what a huge blessing!
*Full report-My full time job (the one that pays anyway) is experiential marketing for the St. Pete Times. That's pretty much fancy terms to mean from 7-1 every day, I walk the blocks of downtown St. Petersburg (a very cute town) and hand out copies of the Tampa Bay Times (TBT); their liking to Atlanta's Creative Loafing. The good news is that a number of the people I work with are finishing or just finished school with a journalism degree and they're helping me find freelance work. Plus, the Times is the number one taken paper in Florida, so it won't look too shabby to have on my resume. I enjoy it-plus, with hurricane season approaching you get a couple minutes to break here and there with the random rains. I know you're all thinking, that Erin, she's not a morning person. And I'm not. But who wouldn't want to be done at 1pm every day when you live by the beach?
*"Breaking" news-For those of you who have heard Bryan wince with back pain, or saw his performance at church before we left (after the music and into Steve's sermon, he body decided to pass out while we were on stage), there is good and bad news. After an MRI, we discovered he has a herniated disc and SEVERAL bulging discs in his back! You're probably wondering how this is good? It was a good thing we found out the real problem before it got too late. It was good he wasn't in more pain than he already was (although "knives shooting down my leg" doesn't sound too good to me). And it's really good that we've found a non-surgical option. He's now going through Spinal Decompression. I took some pics at his doctor's appt. yesterday and will post them this weekend so I can fully explain the fun. But he's in the healing process and could use a shout out in your prayers-with everything happening in his lower back, sitting is what feels the worst for him.
Feature-The pics below are from John and Kara's rehearsal and wedding. They wed on June 3 in her grandmother's pasture. It was a beautiful service, and Uncle Mike married his last child and only son. Wish you guys the best-don't forget you can drive down the road if there's a tornado or if your fridge is empty.
Don't forget tomorrow is National Fudge Day--I can see Kari's wheels turning, considering this a good reason to find a good recipe for celebration sake!
Everyone enjoy!

After having checked your blogspot for updates many times over the last few weeks I am so HAPPY to find a nice, lengthy one! And to see the pics! So honored! I am happy to hear all your good/bad news turned good news, and happy to hear you are doing well in the Sunshine State. Miss you, and hope to see those blogs keep on coming ('cause you know your faithful cousin was fretting).
