Saturday night Exodus had a really great show, and played in an awesome outdoor/courtyard feeling venue. They won audience appeal and thus made it to the final cut of the evening. The top 6 audience favorites were scored by music judges. They were told their scores were high and a talent scout judge even talked to them before the end of the night (even though he wasn't supposed to do that). Sixth, fifth, fourth, and third places were all given. The two final bands were Exodus 20:17 and Greyscale. Exodus came in second:(
Trying to be objective, I do actually think Exodus gave a better live show that night. The other group rapped well, but sometimes when they sang there were some pitch issues (this I know because I was wearing ear plugs and that made it easier to hear the little differences). I also got tired of the language and booty shakin' show. But of course I suppose I can never be completely unbias. Click here to hear the other group and let me know your own opinion. (Exodus can be heard here).
The gang is trying to be positive about it. A lot of good people were there to hear them and they have a huge line-up of shows ahead of them. And their CD is finished and will be released before the end of summer (i.e. they have a little more money to raise before they can duplicate it non-ghetto style).
God's still in control of their path. I know they played the best they could this weekend. I have some photos-and will get them on as soon as I can figure out this computer driver language:) I'm really a better technology user than understander.
Also, my dad and Kyle are in Canada checking out a school up there-many prayers for travel and guidance on this decision.
so long pals-
