My mom and Carly teamed up to surprise me with my very Little Prince coffee cup and saucer. I read The Little Prince in high school and have seen it performed-I like it. They got this cup in a shop in Arles while we were scouring the city for the sites where Van Gogh painted. My mom was in the store buying it while Carly and Katie were keeping me busy asking me to take photos of them by a flower garden and fountain. Those two, they knew I'd fall for that:) How fun!

When my parents arrived on my birthday, I was surprised to see my cake! Yes, 24 and still getting the Raggedy Ann-and this time, with some cool curly candles. With the three of us, this puts my dads cake count pretty high--he's made quite a few now:)

After we ate, Sintos and I performed with the Southerners in an exhibition for a competition being held at JSU. So my parents, Carly, Canada and Michelle walked over to the stadium to watch us play. Then, super sweaty and out of breath from a completely humid evening in polyester, I tried to blow out the candles on my cake. I might have had to take another breath--we'll blame that on my tiredness from the show instead of the larger number of candles on the cake:)
